Reading books and collecting books are different hobbies!

Reading books and collecting books are different hobbies!

Since I started selling my book wraps I've noticed a lot of my customers have similar tastes in genres.  We talk about which book we are currently reading, then recommend new books to each other and my TBR pile grows by the day! (no judgement please)

I'm not actually sure how many books are on my pile currently, but since I obtained half my son's pile when he went off to university it's probably close to 100 or so (I said no judgement!).

What books do I read? Well I'm mostly a fiction reader - mostly fantasy and horror,  but I love a cute cosy book too now and again. My favourite authors include Terry Pratchett, Syd Moore, Christina Henry, TJ Klune, TL Huchu, Stephen King, T Kingfisher and Dan Brown.

What do you lot read?

Well similar to me it would seem. We all clearly love a good scary book! (better than a film I think - less hiding required)

As part of my getting to know my bookish customers, I also set them a little challenge!

Books in the wild - featuring my book wraps

Here's a few of the fabulous photos I got back

As you can see I also have bookish dogs interested!

Amongst all of the photos you will notice a rather chunky hardback - a special request book wrap was made just for that. Which got me thinking - which is the most popular? Paperback or Hardback. Looking over my orders, and then asking my customers it's definitely paperback with 95% of the votes.

Personally? I'm definitely more a paperback fan, but I do love a crisp new hardback book - but equally a very old hardback that has that amazing aged smell. (I'd insert smell here but not sure they can do that yet)

Now when it comes to book v e-reader - that is also a clear winner. Books win hands down. E-readers are brilliant things, but a book is a whole experience! The big bonus with an e-reader of course is your TBR doesn't take over your whole house! (remember no judgement!)
