One of my most popular themes for fabric is ghosties! Ghosts reading books, gardening ghosts, hippy ghosts, Christmas ghosts and even ghosts in trick or treat outfits- I think I've had them all.
Everyone loves a cute ghost and I am no exception.
I started collecting ghosts a few years ago with some little cuties from Stitchcrvft, and I have added to it every year since. I have recently discovered The Ghastly Ghost shop by Twisted Coven too with some very cute additions.
The ghost obsession doesn’t stop there though! Oh no! The very talented Gorenaments created this cheeky little number and I had to have it!
I loved the framed ghost idea so much it inspired a tattoo of a ghostie designed around my daughter who loves Halloween. With her signature wellies the tattoo was just too amazing - and I got 2 further ones for my boys. This of course has led to me now needing to fill the gaps. I’m just keeping the awesome Tawny Owl tattoo busy! Small business support and all that. (She shouldn’t have made them so cute!!)
I’m always on the lookout for another ghost fabric or ribbon to add to my growing collection. I’ve had a few ghost fabrics sell out this year so I definitely need some new ones for 2027. I’m thinking ghosts drinking coffee and ghosts in funky hats (and probably 3-4 other ideas).
The big question of course is do I believe in ghosts? Do you know what I think I do sometimes. It's one of those weird things where you question it, want to believe it, but then question it again. There's definitely some weird goings on out there though so who knows.
